This poster is from the series created for the (French) National Lottery in 1939. Indeed, on the strength of its popular success, the National Lottery decided to program twenty-four different installments, intended to be drawn in various places. Derouet and Lesacq design the posters for twenty-one of the twenty-four sections planned. It is probable that the last posters did not appear because of the war.
